Desi Funters' Pakistan Cultural Hood RiverSide Club & SeaWorld

Second Life represents many aspects of the metaverse. Often we seek and find what is simpler and does not want to meet and understand the thoughts, history and traditions of distant countries. the site I was surprised not to architecture but simply because it is the witness of life. This place is the synthesis of Pakistan of its history and of its prerogatives.

This is a replica of the Shalimar Gardens were built by the Great Mogul Shah Jahan in Lahore, Pakistan. Construction began in 1641.

the place and the meeting point....disco, shops, people but in origin and in RL is the The Lahore Fort, situated in the north-west corner of the Walled City of Lahore, occupies a site which has been occupied for several millenia. Assuming its present configuration during the 11th century, the Fort was destroyed and rebuilt several times by the early Mughals during the 13th to the 15th centuries.

Differents cultures in SL : the white shirt guys in front of me they are doing pakistani balochi cultural dance, these girls in red are doing pakistani sindhi cultural dance, the colorful shirt people holding a drum are pakistani punjabies, the pakistani siraekies in yellow shirt, the pakistani pashtoon/pakhtoon caste these are pakistani kashmiries.

a meditation moment

The man of our culture is terrified of death and aspires to immortality civil and spiritual. The man here has instead terror of life. Life is a comedy that must participate, as a passage through the temple, and then rejoin the supersensible reality. Man Hindu aspires therefore the denial of life itself, practice yoga, the purpose is asceticism, nirvana. The Hindu clings to life for a kind of self-preservation but finds comfort in this religion and philosophy. Aspires total and definitive cancellation of it, that otherwise the concept of transmigration, would never end.

OchoTango music and life.

I visited this corner of music with enthusiasm and wonder. Really this place reconciles Second Life with fantasy, landscapes and architecture.we are used to imagine the tango or milonga at Boca between colorful wooden buildings. Here we are in the Argentine countryside, an imaginary place that could be anywhere in the Pampa or a city suburb ... because the tango is feeling and time running...

Hello, my name is tango, I come from Buenos Aires and I have little more than a hundred years, even if someone thinks I'm much older, so my roots are confused and strife.
Depending on your taste can be danced, played, listened, sang and how everything animate or inanimate in this world are made of a set of elements that are integrated over time.My words have entered the dialects of the first Italian immigrants land in Argentina, as well as contributed to my music Cuban rhythms, African and Spanish.I can be the highest expression of nostalgia, of resentment for the betrayal, the perception of time passing and that will not return, the recognition of their origins, the intimate relationship created between man and woman, in life or in the embrace of my dance.I wake up the emotional aspect of the human being through my words and my sounds, if you learn to listen to me, through your bodies, if you move following my music. In the milongas I can be funny, cheeky, playful; vals in the most sentimental, romantic and passionate..... Maybe I spoke too

The word Milonga has African origins, means confusion, casino, quarrel. This word was coined in the early nineteenth century in dance houses frequented by poor people, or not well-off, was also used to refer to women who worked in these houses dance.La Milonga is a folk dance of Argentine origin, derived from the most common Habanera, imported from South America in the early nineteenth century, which was replaced the 6/8 rhythm with a more simple and straightforward than 2/4, a pace that suits a lot more from a dance hall than all'Habanera. To their resemblance often Milonga was also called the Habanera of the poor. In the coming years, however, the Tango took much popularity that was soon to Milonga Tango confused with the same, this is derived from the definition of Tango-Milonga, that is a kind of Tango with an adaptation slightly faster paced and much more marked.

"Beyond time, beyond space, there, where the size is noble and refined"; Finally he warns, "you will experience real emotions and an extraordinary desire to fly"
"Más allá del tiempo, más allá del espacio, allí, donde el tamaño es noble y refinado"; Por último, advierte, "usted experimentará emociones reales y un extraordinario deseo de volar"

The music becomes the musical time in lived space

Sarah's Magic Kingdom and Disney Museum

"I only hope that we never lose sight of one thing – that it was all started by a mouse."

Walt Disney,  October 27, 1954

Steamboat Willie is a 1928 American animated short film directed by Walt Disney and Uber Iwerks. It was produced in black-and-white by Walt Disney Studios and was released by Celebrity Productions. The cartoon is considered the debut of Mickey Mouse  and his girlfriend Minnie.

"Welcome to my museum. It was created with love and devotion to the entertaiment company I adore the most. The museum is a showcase only...." I think that this is an amazing place. When we were kids we have a dream. Visit Disneyland or share our time with Mickey Mouse and the others heroes of  Disney. The "Sarah's Magic Disney" is  the cartoon's world.

 The Mickey Mouse museum

I visited all the sights and I'm back baby. I ve drive the car,  pirate ship and traveled on the train

When you learn to use your imagination you begin to fly like Peter Pan, the protagonist of a classic Disney in 1953. Do you remember? In order not to fall to the ground, once airborne, just have a little bit of imagination and you can remain suspended in the air without any difficulty.

Kowloon amazing site...

I love Kowloon. I visited the city last year and last week and today. In ever visit i found a shop or a little street. This is amazing for me.

the market

Hong Kong was originally a fishing village. The British East India Company imported from China tea and silk, paid in money, because the Empire did not care no good. La Cie imagined introducing opium, then unknown in China, to pay for its imports with the complicity of Chinese shopkeepers. After the destruction of 20,000 chests of opium by the Emperor, Britain sent ships of war and won the Isle of Hong Kong as a permanent basis 26 January 1841 (the first Opium War). In 1860 there was the second Opium War and the signing of the first agreement that provided for the sale of the Kowloon peninsula to protect the island of Hong Kong (see my photos). In 1898 the second agreement provides for the sale for 99 years of the New Territories in the north of Kowloon and 233 islands. Until 1950 reign compradors: corruption in recent years, opium, prostitution, quick riches are the symbol of Hong Kong. Following the colony is being modernized relentlessly and is committed to being at the forefront in all sectors (ferry, funiculars, railways, metro, skyscrapers, international airports, etc.). In 1997, Hong Kong returned to China, but will benefit from a special status until 2047.

Kowloon gave me the impression of enclosing the soul of Chinese Hong Kong. More colorful, chaotic, messy. Signs and stalls everywhere. In addition, well worth the market.

Utopia ....the hippy community in Second Life

I visited the Commune hippies of Utopia. This place is so popular why this is a corner that comes from the past is very close to reality. Who almost fifty years or more will remember something.

Many are the faces of the hippie movement, the expression of a new trend. The peace, freedom, the rejection of violence, the desire to break out of the traditional mold, the ideal of a capitalist society, anarchy.

The affirmation of the ideals of peace, of non-violent, civil rights, a less formalistic conception of the family, a greater tolerance of diversity and sexual choices individual, the contribution of creativity caused by the hippies to the performing arts (theater , film and painting), to the music, with the rediscovery of folk music, blues and jazz (and, especially, with the largest gathering of Woodstock in 1969, still a milestone in rock history) ... so much hippie but long hair and joint ...

stroll around Dublin....

I walk through the streets of Dublin. I'm just, but the atmosphere is friendly and I breathe the taste of beer and a spring that struggle to survive a pale sun hiding.

Dublin is its people. A town smiling, able to make you fall in love with its graffiti and its history, urban style and old traditions. You have a strange feeling watching the people walking, there you bet a Guinness, they are not directed to work.

The back arches backward. Hands shaking at the two bars cold. I challenge you dizzy and I try to put my lips to the Blarney Stone to acquire eloquence.  Where is the stone? The Blarney Stone is a brewery, an opportunity to meet people and share life experiences with a mug of beer.

You have the feeling that in Dublin you should spend at least a year of your life to vent'enne, but now that you have already taken other roads but really a pity! And then you walk, look, you stay enchanted and meanwhile we ask: what kind of person I would be if I lived a sip of life here, among these streets in the midst of so much life?
What would tell of Dublin and its people?

On my moleskine just before leaving I noted this phrase from the book of Joyce struck me for its delicacy:"But my body was like a harp and her words and gestures were like fingers running upon the wires."
To love Dublin must have the heart in color ...

Christ Church Cathedral (or, more formally, The Cathedral of the Holy Trinity)
from Wikipedia:

Christ Church Cathedral is located in the former heart of medieval Dublin, next to Wood Quay at the end of Lord Edward Street. However a major dual carriage-way building scheme around it separated it from the original medieval street pattern which once surrounded it, with its original architectural context (at the centre of a maze of small buildings and streets) lost due to road-building and the demolition of the older residential quarter at Wood Quay. As a result the cathedral now appears dominant in isolation behind new civil offices along the quays, out of its original medieval context.
Christ Church is the only one of the three cathedrals or acting cathedrals which can be seen clearly from the River Liffey

... in the suburbia of Tokio

I started traveling on SL from Japan. I visited a small house that the manufacturer has designed the outskirts of Tokyo. Japan in SL has always ispiato sims and works of artistic character.

This site is full of tracks. This little corner of Japan struck me the linearity of the building. The pursuit of detail and attempt to recover the architectural lines of Makoto Shinkai. the owner is Miyoharu

From Wikipedia:
Makoto Shinkai, born as Makoto Niitsu (Niitsu Makoto, born February 9, 1973) is a Japanese director of anime and former graphic designer. A native of Nagano prefecture, Shinkai studied Japanese literature at Chiou  University where he was a member of juvenile literature club where he drew picture books. He traces his passion for creation to the manga, anime, and novels he was exposed to while in middle school. His favorite anime is Castle in the Sky  by Hayao Miyzaki. Shinkai has been called "The New Miyazaki" in several reviews, including those by Anime Advocates and ActiveAnime—comparisons which he himself calls an "overestimation".

WELCOME TO MY HOME

I ' ve started to live in Second Life in 2007, when the metarverse grew. I have learned to build, to organize and to lead sims and so with humbly I accepted the word of friends.

Second Life has changed a lot in recent years and I think we have lost the ideas that were the engine of the metaverse.Often travelling in SL, we find what we would find in real life.

I'm tired. I worked so hard for other people to be enjoying themselves. I have spent effort and money. Today I have built a sim that is my house. I imagined a corner of Alaska, an old mine: the sea, mountains and old building. Here I'll host expositions. This is my base, but alls are welcome.
